McKenzie Hoyt, MA, LMHCA

I recognize how difficult it can be to take the leap into starting therapy. Whether it is your first time or 100th time, it is hard to be vulnerable with someone new. Congratulations, you have already taken the leap if you are here. What comes next is up to you. I do my utmost to make sure you will be met with a safe and empathetic space to share and grow. Please feel free to contact me for a free 15-minute consultation.

I have known very early on that psychology and counseling is my passion. I am continuously honored to help others in their journeys and witness their strength and courage. My training and interest are in behavioral psychology, and I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, and LGBTQ+ issues. I also specialize in Internal Family Systems counseling and serving chronically ill populations. In addition, I also support remote populations by offering both virtual and in-office appointments.

My approach to counseling is integrative and I draw on a variety of techniques and orientations. Every individual and story are unique and it is imperative to work together to find the right approach that works for you.

Education

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Adams State University. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Psychology from Western Washington University where I also minored in Sociology.
