Counseling Approach

As the saying goes, knowledge is power, and increasing one’s knowledge of self, is one of the greatest gifts that we can give ourselves. I help my clients gain a better understanding of themselves by serving as a collaborative partner - joining them on the path to greater self-compassion and life satisfaction.

I have served adult clients from marginalized communities through my experience working in community mental health. The “open to all” nature of that work gave me the privilege of supporting individuals challenged by depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and ADHD, as well as bipolar and schizoaffective disorder. I employ a variety of approaches, including looking at patterns of thinking and behavior that my clients want to change and exploring how past negative experiences seem to still “come to life” in the current moment. I also support people who are looking for greater meaning in their lives.

About Me

I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Washington and my graduate training at Antioch University Seattle. I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2016. I chose to pursue being a counselor because of the immense impact that therapy had in my own life, in terms of both navigating life’s challenges and helping me to know myself better.
