Richard Directo, MA, LMHCA (He/They)

Professional

I work with people in the present moment, supporting them through life transitions. My approach is often in the direction to be better humans and uncovering meaning. I know the body well, also being a licensed massage therapist since 2009. I have worked directly in cancer clinics, with trauma, and in addiction recovery. I have experience with infertility, men's work, and spirituality. Being a person of color, I have a personal dedication to employing a social-multicultural framework, seeking to understand diversity. I also use clinical and transpersonal approaches. I teach meditation and self-care practices at graduate levels and use them in my therapeutic approach.

I believe inherent health exists and that healing comes from within. I trust in the power of community and the purpose that comes from belonging. I encourage each person to explore the benefit of having a settled nervous system and how to maintain their mental health. Please reach out if you are interested in exploring some of these aspects of life with me.
