What will therapy look like?

Therapy looks different for everybody. Everyone has a different story, different life experiences, and different goals for care.

At Morina Counseling, we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Your therapist will take time to get to know you, understand what brings you in, and work with you to establish goals. Together, you and your therapist can identify the methods, tools, and interventions that fit your needs.

Therapy may include processing thoughts and feelings, building coping skills, improving communication, strengthening relationships, developing insight, and learning new ways to manage stress, anxiety, anger, depression, or other concerns.

How long will therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and what you want to get out of the process.

Some people come to therapy for short-term support around a specific concern or transition. Others continue therapy longer-term to work through deeper patterns, relationship concerns, emotional challenges, trauma, or ongoing stressors.

Your therapist will talk with you about your goals and help you understand what care may look like over time.

How can therapy help me?

Therapy can help you slow down, better understand what you are experiencing, and develop practical tools for moving forward.

Depending on your goals, therapy may help you:

  • Process difficult thoughts and feelings
  • Reduce anxiety, anger, stress, or depression
  • Improve communication
  • Strengthen relationships
  • Develop healthier coping skills
  • Increase mindfulness and self-understanding
  • Navigate life transitions
  • Work through family, relationship, or parenting challenges

Therapy is not the same for everyone, but the goal is to create a supportive space where you can better understand yourself and work toward meaningful change.

Do you offer medication management?

Yes. Morina Counseling offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management with Nurse Practitioners.

Medication support may be helpful for concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD evaluations, trauma-related concerns, sleep issues, mood instability, and more. If medication is recommended, your provider will work with you to monitor progress, discuss side effects, make adjustments when needed, and consider how medication fits into your overall care.
